The EBF’s Fall conference followed up on the ecology issues touched on in the previous year., specifically, how to understand the violence inherent in the attitudes and reactions of many climate change deniers. Filmmaker and PhD candidate at Macquarie University, Sydney Australia, Alex Murawski created his 6-minute film, Frail to aid the development of Becker scholarship by formally merging it with the existing discipline of screen theory. The film depicts the different ways in which members of a family react to the death of a father and husband.

The Psychological Underpinnings of Supernatural Beliefs
Fantasy of flight is a universal human experience. Is there something psychologically significant that underlies this, and all humankind's lofty aspirations? Sheldon Solomon asks this in a UW talk. In considering this he challenges those who cavalierly assert that religion is just an epiphenomenon to be thrown out.
